Pediatrics to Geriatrics
Where you go for medical care is not always an easy or simple decision. Our community is fortunate to have fine medical care facility like the office of Dr. Sheldon Zitman, Dr. B. Sofia Jalilie and Dr. Aradhana Kar.
Dr. Zitman and Dr. Jalilie are currently recertified by the American Board of Family Medicine and are Fellows of the American Academy of Family Medicine. Dr. Kar is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. In addition, Dr. Zitman has trained in Pediatrics and Allergy and Asthma.
It is important to make sure your child is receiving optimal treatment for their allergies and asthma, especially because symptoms can change over time. The physicians will work with you and your child on the four elements of managing allergies and asthma; avoiding triggers in your home, school and other places; using the appropriate medicines; considering allergen immunotherapy, and education follow up.
Besides caring for illnesses, their practice places great importance on preventive medicine. They believe that many problems can be avoided or cured, if found early. Examples include well childcare and immunizations for children, regular breast and pelvic exams for woman, and blood pressure control to prevent heart attacks and strokes in seniors. Referrals to other medical specialists and surgeons are made when additional evaluations or opinions are needed.
