National Safety Month, Week 3: Falls

This month, the National Safety Council focuses providing information to decrease the causes of injury at home, at work, and on the road. Each week focuses on one main topic: Emergency Preparedness, Wellness, Falls, and Driving.

At Blue Hills we believe that prevention is a key component to your overall health.

This week's main topic is about falls. We may not consider slipping at home or tripping on the sidewalk to be serious risks, but they can be very dangerous. According to the National Safety Council, falls are the third leading cause of unintentional injury related deaths for all ages, and the number one cause of death for those older than 65.
