Sheldon A Zitman, MD has been serving the Santa Clara Valley for the last forty years and joined Blue
Hills Medical Group in 1984. Dr. Zitman did his undergraduate education in biology at Saint Joseph’s
College of Philadelphia. He received his medical degree from Temple University of Philadelphia
in 1974. He completed his Family Practice residency Indian Health Services, PHS Hospital, San
Carlos, AZ and Keams Canyon AZ in 1978. He then became board certified in Family Medicine in 1978,
and has sub-specialties in Pediatrics, Allergy and Asthma, and disaster planning. He is upstanding member
of American Academy of Family Physicians. He is a clinical professor at Stanford, and has been teaching there
for twenty years.
Dr. Zitman enjoys living in the Bay Area with his wife Diana, spending time with his children and
grandchildren. They are supporters of the arts and they attend many playhouses, they
love to travel, and he enjoys all local Bay Area sports teams and is San Jose Sharks season ticket

Hospitals and O’Connor hospital.
B. Sofia Jalilie, MD
B. Sofia Jalilie MD joined Blue Hills Medical Group in December of 1997. After completing her
undergraduate education, at UC Davis in Nutrition Science, she graduated from University of
California, Irvine College of Medicine in 1993. She then completed her residency in Family Medicine at
San Bernardino County Medical Center. She become board certified in Family Practice medicine in
1994 and is an upstanding member of American Academy of Family Physicians. She enjoys
being an integral part of the family’s health especially preventive medicine and she enjoys watching her
pediatric patients grow up into adulthood.
Dr. Jalilie is proficient in Spanish, limited French. She is a child of Colombian immigrant parents and
understands the challenges and benefits of growing up bi-cultural. She enjoys traveling with her
husband, David, to wine regions around the world. She is a passionate fan of Bay Area sports teams. She
celebrated the 2010 Giants historical Worlds Series win with beer and hot dogs for the doctors and staff.

Aradhana Kar, MD
Aradhana Kar MD joined Blue Hills Medical Group in 2005. Dr. Kar graduated medical school from S. C.
B. Medical College Cuttack, India September of 1996. She did her residency at University Pittsburg
Medical Center and St. Francis Medical Center of Pittsburg. She become board certified in Internal
Medicine in 2004 and is an upstanding member of the American Academy of Internal Medicine
Physicians. She enjoys all aspects of medicine but she especially enjoys working with diabetic
patients and controlling their A1C levels. Dr. Kar said if she did not have the passion to help patients she
would have chosen a career in Astronomy. We sometimes can catch her looking at the stars, moon,
and sun especially when it is a Solar Eclipse day.
Dr. Kar enjoys living in the Bay Area with her husband Sunil, and their two children. They enjoy traveling
and their love of dogs. Their dog, Mr. Snuggles, occasionally makes visits to greet patients at the office.
